About C’ville Entremom:

C’ville Entremom is your one stop resource for Charlottesville Mom-Owned Businesses!  Each week I will spotlight one to two mom-owned businesses.  Through this blog, I also hope to create a community/network of entrepreneur moms as well as inspire moms out there that want to start a business.

Angie Brement (Founder / Blogger):

I spend most of my time as a mother to Trudy (4)  & Josie (1) and devote the part time (aka. Angie time) to photographing children and families in the Charlottesville area!  I own and run Angie Brement Photography (www.angiebrementphotography.com) and love every minute of it.

Before moving to Charlottesville, I was a Pre-Teen Girl’s Buyer for Hecht’s Department Stores (in Arlington, VA) & a Cosmetics Assistant Buyer for Macy’s (in NYC).  These experiences led to my love of bold color and all things fashion.  My daughters led to my love of capturing each stage of life.  I am an entrepreneur at heart.  This is my 2nd venture.

Thanks for visiting C’Ville Entremom.  I look forward to seeing where this will take all of our businesses.

Mary Beth Bowen (Blogger / Event Planner):

mb2Like most of you, I wear many hats these days: mommy; wife; entrepreneur; blogger…and the list goes on. My main focus is my two-year-old Mia. After she was born, I decided to quit my job with a PR agency to spend more time with her. But, then I figured out that I could have both. When Mia was 8 months old, I started my own freelance public relations and marketing business – MBPR & Marketing Communications. I specialize in consumer product launches and have introduced more than 35 products and services to the market in the 10 years that I’ve been in this industry. I’ve helped clients launch everything from vacuum cleaners, cookware and food/beverages to new stores, iPod speakers and pharmaceuticals. My capabilities include strategic planning, media relations, event planning, social media, marketing promotions and writing (for web sites, brochures, etc.). Starting my own business was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It was a scary leap of faith – but one that has allowed me find that work/life balance I always hoped to achieve.

    Angie,
I love what you have done for moms! After my youngest of three went off to kindergarten, I started a home staging and redesign busines, Savvy Stager. I can’t wait to meet/chat with other women about their lives/businesses at your next event! Amy Eastlack is my neighbor, did you attend the Suzy Said event this week – it was very fun! Have you heard of Events with Panache’ – owned by mommy, Jennifer Hamlin? She’s great at what she does!!! Also, my dear friend, Jen Zoll, mother of 4 (WOW), started Zoll Consulting, a professional organizing company. Jen Z. runs her home like clockwork (not at all edgy/cranky/fussy – but organized and peaceful! Can’t wait to tell them about your site and looking forward to meeting you!
    Michelle :)
